Telehealth Sessions
Telehealth refers to a videoconference consultation involving communication between yourself and your clinician using both a video and audio connection e.g. Zoom.
Eligibility has changed;
Medicare eligible clients affected by Coronavirus, or Bushfire are now eligible. That means pretty much everyone is Australia. If you are affected by bushfire, you can self-refer to the available clinician of your choice without a referral or Mental Health Care Plan. Normal rebates apply. If you have been affected by Coronavirus, you will need a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP.
How many treatment sessions can be accessed?
The Mental Health Care Plan allows up to 10 rebates per calendar year. Due to Coronavirus, a temporary extension of an additional 10 (i.e. total of 20) is available for a limited time. Bush fire affected people are eligible for an additional ten sessions (i.e. 30 in total).
