Julie-may has extensive experience in the private and public sectors, including former service as a Military Psychologist (CAPT).  She is acknowledged by the EMDR Association of Australia (EMDRAA) as an accredited practitioner and supervisor for clinicians.  Julie-may also holds a voluntary position with the EMDRAA Accreditation Committee, which reviews individual competency for Australian and New Zealand trained EMDR practitioners.  This accreditation process ensures best practice is maintained by clinicians in accordance with international standards. Julie-may has significant experience with trauma, PTSD, childhood abuse, dissociative disorders, and general psychological issues such as depression and anxiety.  Julie-may is regarded as dedicated and solution focused, and works in an ethical, professional manner, to deliver individually tailored solutions for your treatment goals.

Memberships include the EMDR Association of Australia (EMDRAA) and the Australian Psychological Society (APS).

Preferred therapies include:

Eye Movement Desensitisation (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Counselling, Stress Management Training, Anger Management, & Assertiveness Training, Interpersonal Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy,  Mindfulness, Brief Interventions and more.  A variety of resources are also provided.
